About

Tanya Rishwain

I have worked in private practice for over 20 years in Encino, CA  and currently in La Canada, CA.  Previously, I worked at the UCLA Neuro-Psychiatric Institute and Hospital on the inpatient units, partial hospital program and the Anxiety Disorders Program, specifically the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Program.  While at UCLA I provided individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and training for psychiatric residents and social work interns.

My areas of practice include treating depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety disorders including OCD, BDD, OC Related Disorders, Panic, Phobias and Social Anxiety.  I work with children, adolescents and adults.

The treatment strategies I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Treatment (ERP) and Habit Reversal.  In addition, I provide psychotherapy focused on increasing insight in order to positively impact the present.
